Many of the gains made by our local districts are due to the fact that taxpayers know what's going on. When the editor, Melissa Hale-Spencer, arrives at our meetings, I often think of Thomas Jefferson musing that if it were left to him to decide whether to live in a country without a government or a newspaper, he would get rid of the government. |
